Yes, this headline already tells you the entire content of the article. It’s about men in high heels. Oh wow… 😂

But there’s much more to figure out: why do men wear high heels and how is actually the feeling in high heels?

Let’s start from the beginning

I wear heels for over a decade now. Although in the vast majority of cases not in public and only for me, but there are just things that fascinate me about it. You’re probably going to laugh very loudly now, because I don’t currently own more than ten pairs of high heels. And no, that’s not because I buy just one or two pair of heels a year. It’s because I felt abashed. However, there were times in my life when I hid it from my partners and thus regularly gave my dresses, skirts, shoes etc. away. I am very sure, that there are somewhere out there top dressed people wearing my clothes 😂

Anyway,… What I always loved was the tight feeling – even the pain after wearing them. A saleswoman once confirmed to me that this was exactly the reason why she wears heels. So much to my personal “why”.

These days they’re a standard office outfit for me. I love the feeling when I wear them. Sublime, sexy and chic all at the same time. I also enjoy the feeling of the skirts, when I am just moving myself to the coffee machine etc.

What I even appreciate much more are the endless combination possibilities! Since heels come in red as well as blue, gold as well as silver, iridescent and matte. Thin, and thick. High as well as low. Wide as well as narrow.

And why do you wear high heels?

Well, strictly speaking because I like the feeling of wearing them. And because you “just don’t” do it – as a cis man. And because I feel attractive in high heels with matching outfit.

It makes me more focused at work. I simply don’t get distracted when I am dressed up. A huge advantage, if you ask me.

Further I simply just couldn’t imagine standing in the home office in a full classic outfit consisting of a shirt, suit and tie, and black or brown leather shoes. From my perspective skirts, blouses and high heels give you so much more possiblities and freedom in dressing up.

You either like it – or not

Whether you think men in high heels are attractive or not is just your personal oppinion. Or do you start a discussion about why people are wearing yellow winter boots? Do you discuss with your neighbour about his or her red rain jacket? Do you feel embarresed if your financial advisor wears white sneakers instead of business shoes? Or even neon sports shoes? Is he or she forced to wear a white shirt? Or will a colored polo shirt do the same job? Exactly…

In essence, it doesn’t really matter, unless the person has to perform a certain function or job. But a man you meet in the streets wearing heels doesn’t have any duty for you. Nevertheless, some people think they have to judge them.

Think about yourself. You may not have the courage to walk outside in heels. Your village or your city may be too small to anonymously stumble around in those shoes.
But you must be aware of one thing. You will rarely be harmed. People may look at you or giggle. But that’s normal! Even when a woman is wearing heels in public, nearly everyone looks after her – won’t they?

What do you think?

Written by The man in dress

Since my youth, I have worn that certain something. My closest confidants may not know about it, but it still defines me. It is the freedom to do what I want and what "one" simply doesn't do. It makes me feel complete, accomplished and simply comfortable. Nevertheless, I am not what "one" would classically imagine such a person to be. Neither do I like people of the same sex, nor do I want to change mine. Quite the opposite. I am one hundred percent satisfied with myself and my body. And my partner, whom I love more than anything, feels the same way. She not only knows it, but supports me all the way. Now I am very happy that I inspire you. Whether you are just curious, a woman with a partner who does the same as me - or simply a man who would like to do but cannot or does not dare.
